Bernadette

~Owner of A Salon Spot and its sister company A Traveling Salon.~

in 2009, a hair stylist was born when Bernadette graduated Paul Mitchell The School in North Haven.

Since then Bernadette has worked in salons in Fairfield, Orange and Milford before she took a chance on herself as a Self Employed Business owner. In 2018, she created a one of kind business that allowed her to "Bring the Salon to you" with her mobile traveling salon.

After such a few short years, an opportunity landed in her lap and she acquired A Salon Spot with the hopes of being able to educated other stylists so they too can live their dream.

Bernadette is proficient in all types of color and haircuts, wedding updos and makeup.

Bernadette frequently takes classes in NYC as well as local courses to perfect the new and upcoming trends. She is certified in multiple Keratin Smoothing Treatments, GlamSeamless Hair Extensions, Microlink Hair Extensions and Temptu Air Brush Makeup. Her color education includes classes by Gina Kahn and the Matrix Team, Kenra, Aveda Color, Paul Mitchell, and Scruples. Educated in Up-dos by award winning stylists Nicholas French and Mitch Stone. And specializes in dry cutting and texturizing techniques perfected and trained by Mike Karg and Jon Reyman.

When Bernadette is not at either salon, you can catch her working backstage at The Shubert, Oakdale and Waterbury Palace theaters, were she designs and style wigs for the musicals and shows that come to town.

Sarah

~Junior Stylist~

Sarah is a 2022 graduate of TIGI Academy in Guilford and has already become a "Master of Balayage" by completing a 12 week extensive training course including balayage, rootmelts, shadow roots, toning. placement etc.

Sarah is Certified in Olaplex and Masters of Balayage.

Ashley

~Renter~

Ashley came to us from the previous salon owner. Although she is her own business inside ours, she is just as much part of this team and we are lucky to have her. You can catch Ashley and Bernadette side by side during wedding season creating magic for brides and their bridemaids.

Nicollette

~Junior Stylist~

Nicollete attended and graduated TEACH academy (currently TiGI) in 2018. She is very highly motivated to jump start her career in cosmetology. Nicollete is constantly educating herself, learning new tricks and techniques to deliver to her clientele. She loves educating her guests about what she is doing and what products would make their hair look salon fresh at home.

Nicollette is certified in Lasio Keratin Smooting Treatments and her color educations consists of Kenra, Pravana, Redken and the use of Olaplex.
